The Blanton Museum of Art at the University of Texas at Austin announces the unveiling of HI, a permanent, site-specific work by Kay Rosen. HI was first exhibited in 1997 and has been adapted in size and scale for the west-side facade of the museum's Michener Gallery Building. The billboard-sized mural depicts the first nine letters of the alphabet, with the final "H" and "I" highlighted in yellow typeface. Exploring the possibilities of language as found material, Rosen's work prompts new readings of familiar words and phrases while offering a personal message to viewers.
