Trisha Brown: Choreographing Life

Museu de Arte de São Paulo (MASP) is pleased to present Trisha Brown: Choreographing Life, the first Brazilian exhibition entirely dedicated to the work the artist’s work. The show will present drawings, diagrams, photographs, films and videos that reveal the transformative aspects of Brown’s work. Organized on the basis of specific segments of some choreographies that incorporate cumulative movements and everyday gestures, along with drawings and notations that emphasize the ways in which Brown radically changed the established protocols of dance, the exhibition aims to shed light on the complex relationships between dance, space and visuality.
